Music Monday – Gaelic Storm

14 Jun

I’ll admit, I hadn’t heard the term “herding cats” until a few years ago, when Josh brought home this album for me.  He knew I liked Irish music and the title of the album made him laugh.  The album title was “Herding Cats”, from the band Gaelic Storm. I highly recommend it both album and band.

This particular tune is my ringtone for Josh – it’s “The Devil Went Down to Doolin” – and so did we when we went to Ireland.  We actually stayed in Doolin, which is in County Clare, near the Cliffs of Moher.  It’s also near the Burren, which I highly recommend seeing.  Josh and I spent time wandering about the Burren. We also spent time at McDermott’s Pub in Doolin, which I also highly recommend.  Especially their stew.  And the Bulmers.
