A few days ago, my mother stopped by with stuff for the kids.  Along with the stuff were Godiva candy bars, enough for parents too.

This morning, Sean asked if he could try his.  I said no.  He said “Why not?”

I said “Well, it’s only 10 a.m. … and I have to buy you a new one.”

“Because I ate it.”

In  my defense, I thought it was Maura’s.  And I’m stressed about moving.  And heck, they were Godiva candy bars.  You snooze, you lose kiddo!

Luckily, Sean is my easy-going kid who laughed at my sheepishness and is willing to wait for the replacement.  And now he knows that his mother is not to be trusted around his chocolate.
