St. Patrick’s Day parade – a precursor

18 Mar

Before I can post pictures of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, you need to go read the short story that was the theme of the parade.  Okay, I do too, though I read the short synopsis.  It makes much more sense when you know what all these crazy creatures are about.

Seriously though – coolest parade ever.  Not just because it was Dublin on St. Patrick’s Day or that the one marching band was from (of all places) Dearborn, Michigan.  But the costumes, performers and creatures they built for the parade were amazing.  The only way I can describe it is if a Tim Burton movie came to life.  It was that sort of style.

Now go read Roddy Doyle’s “Brilliant” while I upload pictures…
