If you only watch one thing this week, watch this. #makedonalddrumpfagain
I don’t get political. I usually respect people’s choices. But Donald Trump scares me. HE SCARES ME. He is a racist, pathological liar who scares the crap out of me.
What scares me more is that he’s winning. Why is he winning? This man stoops to every level. He calls Mexican rapists, he wants to build walls, he makes fun of disabled people. No, really. And I quote – It’s not the first time that Trump has been accused of mocking someone’s physical disability. Back in July, in an interview with NBC New reporter Katy Tur, Trump teased a wheelchair-bound opinion writer who had called the candidate “a rodeo clown.”
“I went out, I made a fortune, a big fortune, a tremendous fortune,” Trump told NBC News. “Then I get called by a guy that can’t buy a pair of pants, I get called names?”
Yesterday, he was asked to denounce David Duke. David “I <heart> the KKK” Duke. He wouldn’t. He swears he has no idea who he is – even though he denounced him back in 2000.
But most of all, Anne Frank’s stepsister – a woman who knew Anne, who grew up in the Nazi regime, who survived Auschwitz, who saw first-hand the rise and fall of Hitler – is scared by Trump.
“If Donald Trump become(s) the next president of the U.S. it would be a complete disaster,” she told Newsweek on Wednesday. “I think he is acting like another Hitler by inciting racism.”
We all know how Hitler felt about Jews. But he also quickly went after the disabled – because they were seen as worthless. Disabled people were taken from their families and killed by lethal injection or in gas chambers.
“Nazi propaganda in the form of posters, news-reels and cinema films portrayed disabled people as “useless eaters” and people who had “lives unworthy of living”. The propaganda stressed the high cost of supporting disabled people, and suggested that there was something unhealthy or even unnatural about society paying for this.”
No, seriously, he started with disabled children –
Although officially started in September 1939, Action T4 was initiated with a ‘trial’ case in late 1938. Hitler instructed his personal physician Karl Brandt to evaluate a family’s petition for the “mercy killing” of their blind, physically and developmentally disabled boy. The child, born near Leipzig and identified as Gerhard Kretschmar eventually, was killed in July 1939. Hitler instructed Brandt to proceed in the same manner in all similar cases. Three weeks after the killing of the boy, the Reich Committee for the Scientific Registering of Hereditary and Congenital Illnesses was established on 18 August 1939. It was to prepare and proceed with the registration of sick children or newborns identified as defective. Secret killing of infants began in 1939 and increased after the war started. By 1941 more than 5,000 children had been killed.
But, I mean, you couldn’t make Germany great again if it was being dragged down by such unworthy beings.
So yeah. Trump scares me. He scares me for my disabled daughter, for my friends of color, for my friends of Mexican heritage. He scares my European friends, my Catholic friends, and my Democratic friends.
Please…if you’re considering voting for him b/c he’ll be the Republican candidate – don’t. Read more about him, more about how much he’s not told the truth. Learn from his history so we dont have another history repeating itself.
Stop the madness. Please. For the sake of our kids. We want a better world for them. We won’t get that with Trump.
