Maura’s back in school, I should be blogging more

20 Sep

I know, I’ve been a little absentee here. I am writing – but not in blog form – during the day, plus working on a new project, plus doing the normal stuff like buying all the food for my teens to consume. Once Maura gets home I’m busy with her, or playing Mom Shuttle for her sister.

I’m trying to work out a schedule to better divide my time (yeah, hilarious, isn’t it?) so I can manage all this writing but not spread myself too thin as well.

That’s where I am right now. Trying to focus on the creative stuff.

Meanwhile, despite a bus pick up that’s 15 minutes early than last year and both of us being stumbling crankypants in the morning, school’s of course going swell for Maura. So that’s one less thing to worry about.

Actually…I haven’t done a ton of worrying. Yes, I’ve hit a low-anxiety period I think. Which is good.

And in my free time, I’m trying to knit the tiny furball a sweater. I’m on attempt #3. The first two weren’t quite right (go figure, one was actually too small.) Third time’s the charm, right?

Editing to add…

Also, I need this chair. Neeeeed. I shall place it in the living room to hold court from or interrogate teenagers. Someone start me a fundraiser.

My advice, sit in that chair for some time, to find out if you really like to SIT there. After all it is a chair, albeit a goodlooking one, its first function is to accomodate your buttocks.
